Training The Eye On The London Streets!

I thought i would post a few images from my weekend in London. I spent the day walking along the southbank, heading towards the Tate Modern to see a Diane Arbus exhibition. There was a buzz around the area and many street performers gathered to entertain the crowds. The autumn sunshine produced some interesting opportunities to capture what was going on around me, so here are a few shots i took. Being a wedding photographer you have to be totally on the ball when it comes to capturing the defining moment, walking the streets and practicing the art of composition truly is exciting. I often browse the work of Cartier-Bresson to get inspiration. I hope you like the images.

Autumn Colours!

Thanks to the above for their excellent work. Autumn is my favourite time of year for outdoor photography. Although our weather can be temperamental, if you have a bit of patience you can be rewarded! Took these images by the side of the river Leam in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. I managed to get some pleasing lens flare and the gentle breeze blew dandelions and river flies around the frame which added to the atmosphere i was looking for. Shot with my 50mm sigma 1.4 lens and with little post production i was happy with the days images. Plus it always helps when your team on the day make you look good! thanks guys. Will be posting some more shoots soon, sorry not been active with the blogging for a while.
